My first post.




My first attempt at making Kouing Aman:
I had forgotten how much I love to bake. I moved into a tiny kitchen and haven't been baking, and I had forgot how happy it makes me. To try something new and have it turn out. There is such a wonderful sence of acomplishment. Kouing Aman is a sweet and salty and very buttery rich pastry. When you first bite into it, its outer crust shatters and the sugary outer layer hits your toung with it's sweet sugar layer. As you contine to eat it you hit the almost gooey center thats moist and not sweet but more rich and buttery. This is one amazing pastry. I'm already dreaming about these rich pastries and so I will be making them again....soon!
